If you’re reading this, you probably know what SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is, otherwise why would you be reading this, since this is the first post in a new blog that don’t have any links around the web yet? There is only one explanation: You came from Google searching for SEO stuff. All In One SEO Pack to be more accurate.

What’s the most important thing in a blog? Content, of course! But what’s the meaning of writing good articles if no one will read them? That’s why SEO is one of the most important things in a modern blog. We are lucky to have a powerfull CMS like Wordpress that can easily handle plugins to make our lives easier. All In One SEO Pack is easy to use and very effective, but is not compatible with Wordpress 2.7. Lots of bloggers already complained about this compatibility issue. One of my friends, Diego Soares, a brazilian problogger, told me that he didn’t upgraded his Wordpress to 2.7 because of this plugin. Thank God there is Platinum SEO Pack, an excelent and easy to use plugin based on All In One SEO Pack.
Platinum SEO Pack
The Platinum SEO Pack is a fork of the All In One SEO Pack plugin. It’s capable of doing everything that All In One SEO Pack does and even more. I tried it in my other blog and had very impressive results. One of my posts that were in the second page of Google went to the first page in the same day.
Some of its advantages are:
- Generates all SEO relevant META tags automatically
- Helps you avoid duplicate content
- Compatible with most other plugins, like Auto Meta, Ultimate Tag Warrior and others
- You don’t have to fear changing permalinks. If you are not satisfied with the current permalink, change it through Settings–>Permalinks in your admin panel, without worrying about loss of Page rank or Google penalty. Platinum SEO plugin will take care of issuing a 301 redirect to the new location
- Add index, noindex, follow or nofollow, noarchive, nosnippet, noodp, noydir meta tags to any post/page
Download Platinum SEO Pack
Click here to download Platinum SEO Pack from the Wordpress repository. If you want, you can read the FAQ here. Don’t forget to disable All In One SEO Pack before activating Platinum SEO Pack (don’t worry, Platinum SEO Pack imports all your settings from All In One SEO Pack).

Ok! Mas você precisa prestar mais atenção no inglês: “didn’t upgraded” deve ser substituído por “didn’t upgrade”.

Joliveira: Hiho! Thanx for your kind words! I saw your blog and it seems very cool
Good luck with it.
Pierre: Estou ciente dessa falha minha, mas sempre a repito ;/ Como disse no post do Terramel.org, nunca fiz curso de inglês e nunca saí do país, por isso meu inglês é sofrível. Obrigado pela dica!

What happens if I am already using All in one seo, and switch to Platinum SEO? What happens to the custom titles and meta descriptions which I have created using AIO SEO? Will Platinum SEO maintain them all?
Or is it like starting from scratch?
